About My Fit Pod
My Fit Pod is a self-service fitness concept that combines a fully equipped gym with a private studio โ available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with no staff on-site. Clients book an hour, walk in, and train on their own terms: their music, their pace, no queues for equipment, no crowds.
Founded shortly after COVID in 2020, the brand started with a single location in Aylesbury and has since grown to eight franchise sites across the UK, with international expansion into France on the horizon.
The model also serves as a launchpad for personal trainers. Instead of paying hundreds of pounds in monthly gym rent โ often before they have a single client โ new PTs can use My Fit Pod to build their client base without long-term agreements, upfront kit costs, or the pressure of a traditional gym floor split.

The Challenge
When MyFitPod launched, they needed software that could power a completely hands-off, 24/7 operation โ from booking to door access to payment. Their first provider promised exactly that but fell short.
The automations were unreliable. The integration with their access control system didn't work properly. And Carl found himself building workarounds just to get the doors open on launch day โ with no help from the vendor.
"They basically promised us the world and couldn't deliver. I had to find a workaround that they didn't help me with in order to get the launch and actually open."
